RAPID ROULETTE - YOUR BEST CHANCE AT WINNNING

You may have noticed the new roulette tables emerging in casinos over the last few years.   Rapid roulette is the latest trend in casino technology that eliminates the need for dealers.   The great thing about rapid roulette is that it actually improves your odds at winning in my opinion.

Below is a picture of a rapid roulette table.

Notice that while the betting is all done on an electronic screen, the wheel is the same as that used at a standard roulette table.  The difference is instead of a human hand spinning the ball, a mechanical arm spins the ball.  It is my contention that having the ball spin mechanical creates a more consistent spin and thus a more predictable outcome.

For the past 2 years I have played roulette almost exclusively on the rapid roulette tables because I have had even better success than I used to experience at the regular roulette tables.

As far as the betting and the game, it is all exactly the same as the regular table.  But it is much easier to place your bets without leaning across the table and there is still great camaraderie with fellow players.

If you are a beginner or have never played roulette, this is a great way to learn the game without worrying about making a mistake or not knowing what you are doing.  With the machine, there is no dealer to yell at you and more importantly no dealer to tip.  The drink waitress still comes around and when you are ready to cash out you just hit the cash out button and bring your ticket to the nearest cashier or ticket machine.

While I am always skeptical of electronic machines in casinos the rapid roulette table is one machine I do not worry about the casino tampering with or trying to get an edge.  If this were a video roulette table I would say to stay away as I feel there is much more ability to affect the outcome.

Best of luck to you on your next trip to the rapid roulette table.  In a very short time I think you will see this type of roulette table in nearly every casino around the world.

DO CASINOS USE MAGNETS?

Do casinos use magnets to affect the outcome of the roulette wheel?  Many people have asked me this question and the short answer is yes, there are casinos in the world that cheat.

Keep in mind that when you are playing roulette, no matter what you do, the odds are always in favor of the casino.   If they just played straight up without cheating they would still win more than they lose so there is no reason for them to attempt to sway the results of any game.

Any reputable casino such as Caesars, Harrahs, MGM, etc. does not need to use magnets or any other methods to rob their customers of winnings.  The fact is they will win most times.  That is how they built those beautiful hotels and casinos.

But depending on where you go, you may find some smaller casinos that do not get much traffic that will use items like magnets to increase the odds of them winning.   If you walk into a casino and there are only 3 other people in the place, I would look for another place to wager.

The process of using magnets on a roulette wheel is very simple,  and yes it has and is being used in some unscrupulous casinos around the world.  Simply placing magnets below the wheel and using a magnetic ball can and will affect the outcome of the spin.  But roulette is a very random game even without the use of magnets so in most cases the players will never know that they are in use.

There are other ways the casinos can alter the results of the spin.  Minor adjustments to the metal slots around the numbers can also change the spin results.  loosening the slots or changing the width by a fraction can also sway the ball into a certain number.

When you play on a standard wheel you may see some patterns.  If you read my post on how to win big at roulette you will notice that I recommend playing the 5 numbers on either side of the last spin  for the best chance of hitting the number.  This holds true more often than not.  If you see a pattern where the ball jumps all over the table you may want to consider moving along.

Chances of a casino using magnets to affect the roulette wheel are pretty slim and I wouldn't worry in most cases.  Stick to reputable casinos and you can rest easy knowing they are comfortable knowing they will take your money without any added tricks since the odds are in their favor.

Good luck on your next trip to the roulette wheel.  Here's hoping you win big!!!

LEARN TO PLAY ROULETTE

This guide will help teach you the basics of playing roulette so that you can walk into any casino play like a seasoned pro.

Roulette is one of the easiest games to learn and understand.  In the simplest terms, you are placing a bet on a number or series of numbers and hoping that the ball drops into your number on the wheel once the spin stops.

Below is a standard roulette table.  You can see there are 36 numbers, half are colored red and half are colored black.   There are 2 numbers at the top of the board, 0 and 00.  You can place a bet on any number or series of numbers.

There are many ways you can place bets.  Below are the most popular bets:
  • Place a bet directly on a number
  • Place a bet splitting 2 numbers.  You would put your chip on the line between the 2 numbers you would like to bet and you would win if either of those numbers hit.
  • Place a bet splitting 4 numbers.  You would place your chip on the corner of the 4 numbers you would like to play and you would win if any of those numbers hit.
  • Place a bet on red or black
  • Place a bet on odd or even (meaning the number rolled is either even or odd)
  • Place a bet on 1st 12 (numbers 1-12) 2nd 12 (numbers 13-24) 3rd 12 (numbers 25-36)
  • Place a bet on a column of numbers (1-34) (2-35) (3-36).  For this bet you would place your chip on the right side of the board on the 2 to 1 section below the row you would like to bet.

So now that you have some familiarity with the roulette board and how to place a bet on roulette, let's walk thru the steps from when you walk up to the table until you cash out with your winnings.

When you walk up to the table, you will buy chips from the dealer.  Place your money on the table and they will ask you what denomination chips you would like.  In most cases you should choose $1 chips.  So if you give the dealer $50 you will receive 50 chips that are each worth $1.

Each player at the table has a different color chip.  This is how the dealer knows who to pay when a number hits.  Sometimes if you have a nice dealer they will let you choose your color.

Now that you have you chips you are ready to place a bet.  Once the wheel is done spinning, the dealer will place a marker on top of the number that hit.  Very important, you can not place a bet until the dealer removes the marker from that number.  Attempting to place a bet while the marker is still on the number makes the dealer very cranky.

Once the marker is removed you can begin placing bets.  Every table will have a table minimum.  This is the minimum amount that must be bet, in most cases it is $5 or $10.  If it is a $5 minimum table, and you are betting on numbers you must bet a total of $5 for each spin.  You can place all $5 on 1 number or you spread it out over several numbers but you must place $5 total.  If you place any bet on the outside of the board (not directly on the numbers but bets such as red/black, even/odd, or betting on a series of numbers like 1-12) you must bet a total of $5 on that bet.  You can not bet $2 on the numbers and $3 on red or black.

Now you have place your bets, the wheel is spinning and the dealer has placed the ball in the wheel.  You can still place bets until the dealer waves his/her hand across the table and says "no more bets".

Once the ball drops into a number the dealer will mark that number and begin paying people their winnings.   Hopefully you were on that number!!!!!

Good luck!!! Roulette is a fun game that can be enjoyed by everyone.  The pace is relaxed and usually you will find a very friendly group of people at the table.

Below are the odds for each bet on a standard roulette table.  Read my "make big money playing roulette" post to see how to use these odds to your advantage!!

COLUMN 1-34                          2:1
COLUMN 2-35                          2:1
COLUMN 3-36                          2:1
1-12                                            2:1
13-24                                          2:1

What this means is that if you bet $5 on an odd number at 1:1 odds, and an odd number is spun on the wheel you will receive $10 back - your original $5 bet plus $5 winnings.

If you are on a single number such as 36 and bet $5 you will win receive $180 back, $5 from your original bet plus $175 in winnings.

MAKE BIG MONEY PLAYING ROUETTE

This system will give you the best chance to make big money playing roulette in any casino around the world.

Roulette is an exciting game that is probably the easiest game to learn.  It is nothing more than a spin of the wheel and betting on the number that the little white ball will fall into when the wheel is done going round.

Playing roulette is easy, but winning at roulette is another story.  I’ve been playing and using this winning system for over 25 years.  I have used the same simple system that I am going to outline below.

The key to winning at roulette, and many other casino games, is to hedge your bets so that you can win and lose at the same time, but you win more than you lose.  If you can do this you can make money.

The first part of my system is to place a bet on 2 of the 3 columns of numbers.  I always bet the middle column and the far right column.  Place the same bet on both of these columns – depending on table limits you may be able to do as little as $5 on each.   The larger amount that you bet the more money you will be able to make with this system.

These bets on the column pay 2 to 1.  So that means that your $5 bet if it hits will return $15.  Your original $5 plus $10.  So for your $10 bet ($5 on each column) you now have returned $15.  In reality you have a 66% chance of winning on this bet so you will win roughly 7 out of 10 times.  This bet is only a break even bet but it allows you to free up some money to really win big.

The next part of the betting is the most critical.  Assuming you win your bet on the columns you will have an extra $5 (if you are betting $5 on each column)  each roll.  You will use this $5 to place bets on the numbers on the table.  It is best to use $1 chips for these bets.

Now place the $1 chips on 5 numbers on the table.  Again, I typically play $20 on each column which allows me to bet 20 bets of $1 on the numbers and gives better odds of hitting.

Hitting the numbers on the table is where you will make your money.  Assuming you hit the column bet, even if you don't hit a number you will break even.  But if you do hit a number, that is pure profit.  Remember depending on the casino,  hitting a number will typically pay 36 to 1 or $36 for your $1 bet.

Picking the numbers to place your bets is important.  You do not want to just randomly throw money on the table.

To choose your numbers, look at the last spin of the wheel and see what number was hit.  Then play the 5 numbers on each side of that number.  See picture below.

In this example the number 32 hit.  You would play the number 32 again, and then the 5 numbers on each side of the 32.  0,26,3,35 and 12 on the left side and 15,19,4,21 and 2 on the right side.

Chances are the ball will land in one of those numbers.

Note, don't forget to bet the 0 and 00 on the board.  When these numbers hit you will lose your column bets.  I always try to place enough money on the line between the 0 and 00 to break even on my total wager should those numbers hit.

Good luck on your next trip to the casino.  I hope that you win big with this system.  Remember, no system is fool proof.   Sometimes you will win and sometimes you will lose but using this system will give you the best chance of walking away from the casino with some extra money in your pocket.
